Eucalypt woven tank top & dress pattern

Depending on your size and the width of your fabric, it may be possible to make this top with a very small amount of fabric. It calls for bias binding on the neckline and armscye, which makes for a tidy finish (I made my own bias, so it would have the same stretch/behaviour as the fashion fabric). Instructions are good. No darts in this pattern, which may not work for everyone, but worked well for me.

This is a great pattern. Very easy and turns out beautifully.

I used this pattern as a basis for the sundress I wanted to make. I used a multicolored stripe silk twill and fully lined it with a slightly lighter weight black charmeuse Italian stripes silk I had in my stash. I also found a coordinating deep yellow flowered charmeuse that I used for bias facing strips. I used the bias strips to finish the hem as well so the finished dress is reversible. Two other hacks: increased the bust for a D cup by adding darts and made a 2.5" wide tie belt, one side has striped silk and the other black.

Easy to make, easy to wear. Made two dresses within a few days.

I consider myself an intermediate sewist, but I'm always looking for super easy patterns to sew. Sewing for me is a relaxing hobby. Love Eucalypt pattern because it's simple and features no complexity for my week nights or weekend sewing moments. I'm gonna sew Eucalypt in many fabrics and colors for the upcoming South American summer.

The pattern itself is gorgeous and easy to follow for a newbie like me. I wish I had enough experience to know I really need a tank with darts to accommodate my rather *generous* bust. But would definitely recommend for those of us not so ample, or those who can hack with darts.

This was my first sewn garment. I usually make quilts and bags. The instructions were very clear and I am very happy with the top. The lenght of the top is perfect for my taste. The longer back looks good with jeans but will probably look better tucked in a skirt. I am already planning a few more tops and making a slightly longer dress.

I was so happy with this pattern. It was a fast sew and it was exactly what I was looking for. A simple and timeless dress I would get much use out of. I also added a modification from the blog to add ties to shoulder straps.

This was a pretty straightforward sew and turned out fairly similar to the photos on the website. I used the centre front seam to insert a short zipper to make the dress nursing friendly- turned out well and was pretty easy to do.
I find the sizing a bit hit and miss on these patterns- I end up being on three sizes for bust, hip and waist but I felt like the overall garment ran on the larger side and bust measurement was most important for me.
