Great pattern!

I was a bit apprehensive sewing a jean for the first time, but everything was clearly explained in the pattern and it went surprisingly smoothly :)

very straightforward! do not hesitate

I read a lot of reviews before buying this pattern, but they were right -- The MN Dawn jeans is a very clear pattern, and I love the fit on my toile--denim shorts, no mods! While I see that my fears were overblown, I am still really glad I made a toile, so I can tinker with the best way to do nice topstitching, test out rivets, etc. I know my 'real" jeans are going to look amazing, and assume I will keep making more after that!

Dawn shorts

These shorts turned out amazing! They fit perfectly. I’ve never made jeans or installed rivets, but the instructions were super easy to follow.

The only jeans I'll ever make

Superb

I can't say enough about these jeans. I have now made 3 pairs of the wide-leg. Next going to try a straight-leg baggy/boyfriend hack. They fit like no other. The instructions were great although I had a fail on the first zipped pair. All good for the buttons and second zipped pair! Here are my three. Recommend Blackbird Fabrics for denim as shown here hatch-cross Japanese and railroad stripe in 13 oz. The canvas (my wearable muslin) are from 20 years in the stash....;) Did flat-bottom adjustment per Lauren Guthrie-Ghani.
