Jarrah sweater pattern

Great pattern and suits my style perfectly. Easy sew and I made a size 12 which fitted just right.....it's a winner 🙏

I quite like the Jarrah, although I think my opinion was skewed due to the fabric I used, which was very cheap and very stretchy and had a mind of its own! I initally made the split sleeve, which I had to shorten by 2" and could have done with more, but then decided to cut it off and add a band. I also made the hemmed version, but added 4" to the body as I am not keen on cropped tops, and again decided to add a band. I think it may be more suited to a thicker fabric so will be trying some French Terry next time.

I love this pattern. I have made a turtle neck fleece version, a sweatshirt version and even used it for a boxy t shirt using that lovely high low hem. Pattern comes together nicely and is a quick sew.

With different neck, hem, & cuff options I’ll be making several more Jarrahs. The tied hem version was easy to make & fits true to the size chart. Instructions are clear with added support on the blog for the tie. So comfy in French terry!

I’ve only tried the tie hem version so far, but I like this pattern and look forward to trying more. The instructions are clear and the extra tips and tutorials in the website are very helpful.

This is a really modern fresh-looking sweater! The pattern instructions were clear and easy to follow. If you have a little experience, you can sew this up in an afternoon. I chose the funnel neck version and in retrospect, I should have interfaced it with a knit interfacing, because the fabric I chose is fairly thin. As it is, I can drape and I think it looks OK but I would consider that if you’re using a thin sweater knit. Otherwise, I really love my new sweater. It feels very stylish and is perfect for this beautiful fall day!

I really enjoyed sewing the Jarrah sweater. The instructions were easy to follow and everything fitted together brilliantly!
I made the smallest size as I didn’t want my sweater too baggy, it is still roomy enough and I lengthened the body by 5cm.
I am really pleased with the finished garment!!

Love, love, love this versatile pattern - clear instructions, great fit - such an enjoyable, quick sew. First make from pattern included with Guthrie & Ghani Sewing Society Kit, and immediately made two further versions - such a comfy wear. Plans for more as great potential to use jersey remnants to mix and match pattern pieces.

Great pattern, good fit, easy to sew and great instructions

Nicely designed pattern, easy to follow steps with clear instructions. Mine turned out littlebit buggyer as I planed, but I like it anyway.
Perfect to add details or do some alterations to make it more unique!

I recently read a newsletter where this Jarrah Pattern was being used with directions on how to do a reverse appliqué. I purchased the pattern and tried my hand at this appliqué technique. I decided on a black widow spider giving it a little Halloween flare. I used a thicker shiny bottom weight thread to make the spider pop. Fun project. The Jarrah pattern is great, with easy, clear and concise instructions for printing, cutting and sewing. I definitely will be using this pattern again.

A wonderfull, quick and easy project. The instructions and pdf-patterns are really easy to understand and the sewalongs and side-notes on the blog make it so perfect to try and hack the pattern. I made view D with hem band cuffs and a recycle-patchwork short sleeved jarrah from old t-shirts. I really love how versatile this pattern is. And even with limeted time on my hands, I found it wonderful how quick I got this finished. I’ll defenitily make some more Jarrahs! Really want to try the jarrah dress with bishof sleeves from the blog some time soon.

I love the relaxed fit of the Jarrah sweater. This is a very easy sew. Although I had some issues with the waistband being wavy. I think that might be due to my topstitching. I had to size down from my normal size 12 to a size 10. I added about 5cm to the length, even though I'm only 160cm tall. I also made the waistband a bit smaller.

I had a lot of fun making this pattern. The instructions are excellent, very clear and step-by-step, so you know exactly what to do and when. The neckline and dropped shoulders are perfect. I noticed, on the testers roundup photos, that the bottom edge was a bit floaty and took a good 15cm off the ribbing around the hips, so it would hug a bit more snuggly. I could also have made the sleeves a touch longer. All in all, I am very happy with the result and plan to do views B and C very soon.

I am in love with view D of this sweater pattern: funnel neck, cropped, oversized sleeves that extend beyond the wrist! This is such a great style to wear with high-waisted trousers. I made it in a bright cobalt blue sweater knit fabric and have received so many compliments for it. It’s easy and fast to sew too. What’s not to love?!

I simply love this pattern.
It's an easy sew. I've already made two and I definitely see myself making more. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. I managed to stitch it up real quick. Ready in under an hour. I simply love it. I added 3 inches to front and I think around 3,5 inches to the back. That's just my personal preference. In my honest opinion it's a great, simple easy pattern.
