Veronika skirt pattern

A really cute skirt pattern that comes together really easily. My daughter wanted a circle skirt, so we made this together. I wish there were more details on how to insert the second side of the invisible zipper as we are new to sewing and scratched our heads a bit on that one, but otherwise the pattern is great and easy to follow. I chose it because of the pocket design and the detailed instructions on how to do things so as to get a really good finish which I thought would be great learning for both of us. The fabric is wool, we found it in the op shop, so the whole project didn't cost too much and used up something that someone else had donated. Win win!

This is the first skirt I ever made and I’m a beginner! I’m glad I saw the YouTube instructional video because if I didn’t I would have no idea how to read it! Regardless, it fit perfectly!! I can’t wait to make another!!❤️

First Skirt I've made in years, managed the invisible zipper with the help of a more experienced friend. As a newer sewist I did struggle a little with the instructions, specificially regarding the interfacing for the skirt waist band - The instructions tell you when to add it to the band but it's not in the cutting instructions. Maybe a more experienced sewer would just assume how to cut it - I followed the lead of my friend but she commented on it missing from the instructions also. Overall it was really fun, we did this together in a day, each sewing our own skirt. Just need to finish the hem. (Also I lined my with satin for a built in slip. Also pictured McCalls M8115 top.

This is such a great free pattern! I love that there are options for knits and wovens, pockets or no pockets, and different waistband heights. I recently made a Veronika skirt from a plaid suiting and it is so cute! I love the fit and twirlability of the skirt.

I love this skirt. I have to stop myself from making this skirt on repeat in every stretch fabric I come across.

I haven't yet made this pattern, but, I've read through the instructions ~ so very clear for a beginner sewist! I'm searching for the perfect fabric to make this into a 4 season staple for my wardrobe...love the pockets!

I’m a beginner and the instructions are clear and when I had any doubts I watched the YouTube video, this is the first skirt I made without someone’s else help, I liked that, there was a suggestion about how to cut the fabric, totally different than the normal on fold option, the width of my fabric wasn’t enough to cut on fold, so the option presented helped me to still use the fabric I wanted and being able to cut it out. The pockets are the cutest thing about this skirt.
Overall I really enjoyed sewing, and I’m planning to make other in different colour and prints.

Overall, a well drafted, simple pattern with great instructions. Want to make a circle skirt? Don’t look anywhere else, just get this one! Love all the views, the customisation options, as well as all the hacking possibilities!

I have not used the pattern yet, but am looking forward to making it up. It looks very versatile

The patterns are beautiful and just what I need to add to my me made wardrobe. It’s been hard to sew for myself in the past because I didn’t like the pattern options other companies offered, but Megan Nielsen patterns are beautifully drafted and make me excited to sew for myself
