Kelly is a button front pleated or gathered skirt with pockets. Pattern sits on the natural waist and features two lengths, button front placket, wide waistband, large scoop pockets and pleating or gathering in the front and back.

View A is a button front above knee pleated skirt. View B is a button front above knee gathered skirt. View C is a button front midi length pleated skirt. View D is a button front midi length gathered skirt.

Perfect Capsule

I've had my eye on the Kelly skirt for a while. I needed to have some basic skirts/trousers, so I decided the Kelly skirt was perfect addition. It's a really simple skirt, with easy to follow instructions (as always). The pockets are great, although I will make them slightly longer for my own personal preference for fitting in all my dog-walking supplies. It stitched up in a day, and already planning corduroy and denim version.

Love the Kelly Skirt!

This is a great pattern. I am new to sewing and found the directions easy to follow. I have made the skirt twice out of cord and a medium weight linen, both turned out lovely.

Winter warmer

I made view C of Kelly in a fairly loose weave wool. I adapted the pattern to include a lining as I prefer to avoid the scratchiness of the wool. It proved to be a lovely comfortable & warm addition to my wardrobe.

Great skirt pattern!

Very good instructions, easy to follow with good tips and possible variations. Great fit. I sewed the skirt in several variations with different fabrics, and lengths - each variation is a complete new look and I love them all! I will definitvely try a winter variation as well.
