Virginia leggings pattern

Easy to make and clear instructions. The fit was great. I used sizing of hips and it was fine even though my waist is bigger than the measurement I used. See @sew_fuego for making notes!

This pattern is easy to sew but also has lots of options. My new pair is the most comfortable I’ve ever owned I’ll be sewing more!

This was a quick make! My mom loves it. Maybe ill add a pocket next time :)

These leggings are a slimmer fit than the ones I purchased last year. They will be particularly suited to wearing under a dress or skirt. Now to trace off patterns to make some for my granddaughters.

I joined my local running club’s marathon training program this summer and realized I needed some new running shorts. Enter the Virginia Leggings. View D are the perfect shorts for me for this purpose. I bought fabric in two different color ways to make 2 pairs for now. I also plan to make View B for my yoga practice. Really love this pattern.

I really liked the pattern, Perfect fit and easy instructions (high waist). I made the legs longer for a tall person.

The cuffed version with the wide waistband is such a comfortable wear in cotton spandex. I feel “tucked “ in but not squished. An easy sew with lots of options for multi season wear.

The pattern was easy to follow. So many variations. Quick to sew. I wish I had added the elastic to the wide waistband, but I’ll try that next time.

Leggings are easy to sew but, this one makes it look great. All the sew alongs and blog posts about it make it possible to obtain great fit, which can be tricky when sewing with strech fabric. Will make virginia leggings over and over for sure.

I love the Virginia leggings patterns. It's quick and easy to sew. I like to make them out of merino wool and for the winter and layer them under dresses and skirts with a pair of wool socks. I also lan on making some out of athletic fabric for working out in.
