Customer Reviews
My first try at doing a reversible jacket, and also my first attempt at "french" seams. Used my own surface pattern designs. Free motioned quilting was done by me on the turquoise side. Luckily my quilting blends well on the orange sunflower side. Very pleased with result. I did a size 10. probably should have done a size 8. However, the larger size works well for adding layers underneath. Very comfy for wearing indoors. Both sides are made from cotton sateen, batting is 80/20 cotton poly. I am not a very experienced garment sewer, so even though the directions were quite detailed and clear, it was a bit awkward navigating the instructions as they were for so many different options.
I love this pattern so much; the instruction booklet is so nice with well written information on sewing your jacket or coat, great illustrations with step-by-step instructions. I've just made my first one, the medium length quilted version & want to make all the other variations, great pattern. highly recommend.
I am sad to say this pattern was in my pile a long time !! why oh why did I not make it sooner ? I chose view E with lining , I only had to shorten the sleeves rest as drafted It went together well i had never fully lined a jacket so this was new the extra details on website for stages were very helpful I love how it turned out but i would change pockets for deeper ones
Love all the pattern options and the many blog tips were so helpful! Easy to follow and make! I made mine reversible with scraps on one side and grey with a quilt block pattern on the other. I went with the larger measurement for my size just in case even though it did say it fits large. So it ended up a little big but I expected that. I’m excited to try making another version soon!
